Welcome to Symmetry of Birds, originally conceived as a birdhouse for my publications of both poetry and radical rants - the two wings of the bird propelling my writing. I don’t write polemics/rants as much as I used to, but I still hew to activism, of course. I do, however, continue to write music, film, and book reviews, mainly for PopMatters. After all, art is its own fierce and feisty form of activism against tyrannical actors who would seek to annihilate the planet. Rants are too obvious, too blunt, while art and culture are symbol, and metaphor, and joy. So I enjoy reviewing art more than writing rants these days. I guess over time I’ve become rather subliminal? The jury is out on that, of course...
So anyway, at Symmetry of Birds, I post links to all of my published poetry and rants and reviews, and recently also include images of the work. I also link to Miro Screaming, my long-defunct/short-lived/barely-read rant-blog as well as Curioser and Curioser, my once-active/highly-underrated Cure blog. And, finally, I link to Clockwise Cat my ever-alive/well-regarded “Dada Verse” magazine that publishes prose poetry and surrealist stanzas by scribes from all over the world. Clockwise Cat has been through several iterations over its nearly 20-year existence, and is a reputable zine that draws accolades from all corners of the cosmos.
Please be aware that Symmetry of Birds is a perennial work in progress.
Enjoy!

What's your point? On my Clockwise Cat blog, it says The Year 9999. ;-)
I dunno. Seems sort of like cheatin somehow to jump ahead unless you are ahead. Who won the election in Canada by the way since you are ahead and you would know this a long time ago....
The date jumps ahead mainly because I need the Welcome Post to be the first post on the page.
I sounded like a real meany... I was intending it so. I was just teasing.
Thanks for the explain. Will read your poems.
