THE TIGER AND THE SUN
by alison ross

the mouth of a tiger is not unlike the mouth of the sun. both flame outward in radiant spikes. but the death of a tiger is vastly different from the death of the sun. a tiger dies a non-existent death; the sun dies an imaginary death. the tiger imagines the sun in its mouth. the sun denies the existence of the tiger's death, and the tiger lives forever in the mouth of the sun.

the mouth of the death of a tiger is not unlike the death of the mouth of the sun.
